Tides is a London-based design studio that focuses on creating sculptural concepts and innovative eyewear by combining digital artistry with cutting-edge manufacturing techniques. Originally established as a sustainable design consultancy, Tides has maintained its commitment to sustainability throughout its transition into the eyewear industry.

Everything we produce, our glasses, cases and packaging are all designed, manufactured and assembled in London. This is something we are unbelievably proud of.

We have spent the last three years creating our supply line and have total control over every component in each of our products. Our aim is to dramatically reduce the carbon footprint by minimising the amount of travel on each piece, whilst simultaneously using the most responsible material and manufacturing method.

All of our frames are 3D printed in London using a zero waste printing loop. Any leftover material from the manufacturing process is reused to make more frames. Unlike traditionally manufactured sunglasses, the 3D printing allows them to be locally manufactured in small batch on demand, therefore eliminating the need for long distance transportation and the associated emissions. It minimises material usage and erases any leftover stock and wastage.
